Running a Bed and Breakfast

A friend of mine was talking about opening a new Bed and Breakfast recently so i figured I'd look and see what was out there in terms of what it actually takes to run one. Didn't take long to find something on it, and I was rather surprised at how in depth the article I found was.

On About.com there is a solid line up of articles directed at just this venture. Fromt myths, to naming your bed and breakfast these articles will at least give you an idea about how difficult it is to run one. Take a look at the article list here.

Golf and making connections

IF you are one of those people that must network with others to get on top, golf may be one of the many areas you have decided to work with. To make a business deal you really cannot find a better place to talk deal than on a golf course. PAck up your golf clubs, maybe bring a few beers, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon while you pitch some ideas to investors, or just try to strike a deal.

The best thing about golf is that you are in a situation where you have your networking partners there for a couple of hours at least when you play a round. You can shoot the breeze about anything, but if you are good at what you do in sales you can pick your spots to throw ideas out that would be beneficial to you and those you want to do business with. No where else can you be in a position of relaxation and time that you will ahve on a golf course.
