100 Year in Business and Finally a Franchise 500 Company

A franchise lasting 100 years alone is a huge accomplishment. A pizza company even more so and we aren't talking about Pizza Hut, Dominos, or Papa Johns here.

It only took 100 years or so, but the Rosati family has finally broken into the Franchise 500©. It's an honor that would probably please--and likely confuse--Saverio "Sam" Rosati, who began serving pizza at his Italian restaurant in Chicago near the turn of the 20th century. In 1964, his children took his old-world recipes and opened Rosati's, one of the first pizza joints to offer delivery, and a local legend was born.

The Rosati franchise is the oldest surviving pizza joint in the U.S. While the original owner isn't exactly around today, the family is still the biggest asset and marketing bonus that they have. Surely the residential treatment of the family is top notch.

You know what I hate? Slideshows. The internet has discovered that making article lists into slideshows gives them a new pageview for every click to the next level of the list. Adding another opportunity to get a new ad up, and another page view to sell to advertisers. For the webmaster this certainly makes some sense, but how many times have you stopped using a website due to the overbearing amount of slideshow articles? I know I have.
