Power Networking and Referrals, Group Interst More Profitable Than Self-interest Including Clients
Many people think of networking to gain referrals for just themselves. This is kind of a negative attribute to many sales professionals as it is anyways, as a selfish way of doing business. While you may argue that there needs to be that selfish aspect to succeed, you are only part right. The people that tend to be most successful at marketing, and eventually making a ton of money in sales are those that network well with a sort of "Team" aspect in mind.
What do I mean by this? It's not just the other remembers of the network you are buttering up to get you more business. That is important and you need to scratch each other's backs, but the clients benefit almost as much, if not more if you have a good network. rc batteries
It's a way of approaching it from a less self-interest standpoint. It's better business to do it this way. If you have a client and want to do the best possible job for them, you offer them resources and choices. If you run a real estate office let's say, you can offer so much more than just what your service is specifically. You can help people find insurance within your network, you can help them find a mortgage broker, a building inspector, etc. This is GOOD business for you to do these things in not just the benefit of referrals from your network. Clients want to be taken care of and shown the way to get things done. The more you offer the better your service is. It's not self-interest doing it this way. It is doing what's best for all involved to benefit you the most as well. At the end of the day you probably end up doing even less work after all is said and done, for much more benefit, and a much better conscience.
