I'm sure nobody wants to monitor their employees. Well...I'm sure some people want to, but most I would guess feel a bit of an ethical dilemma with it. Employees certainly feel it to be an invasion of privacy, and the typical response of "Big Brother" watching over them. In some cases employers deem it a necessary part of the gig. Monitoring their online activity is a bit different than putting up cameras by the coffee kiosks to see who stands there all day gossipping. So what are the ethical and legal aspects involved?
