How to Avoid an Audit

Tax season is here and for many of us we have quite a bit of self-employed income that follows some different rules than the money we make going to a job everyday. They are taxed differentl, but at the same time they allow us many more write offs than we would have if we were just employees.

With the freedom to write business expenses off comes a bit more responsibility. That means you have to have records, receipts, and logs of what you did all year so that you can prove these were actual expenses.

Sometimes you get audited and all that information is absolutely neccessary to keep you from aving trouble with the IRS. The best way is to keep from getting audited. Check out these tips on how to Avoid and Audit at Inc.com.
